COVID-19 Response

On April 22, 2020, the Lions Club of Kitchener announced details of a Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) Frontline Relief Grant.

  

The Lions Club of Kitchener announced the they have been awarded a district grant program for frontline workers. The Club has received $10,000 (USD) of funding to help support the work of the COVIDHealth network in Waterloo Region – established by well meaning citizens group which is Collect, Purchase, make and distribute PPE for health care providers across the region.

 

The funding comes from the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) and is an extension of their world-wide emergency grant program to help out during natural disasters. A total of 98 Foundation grants totalling $2.4M have been made to date world wide.

LCIF empowers service, while many say the world’s needs are too great to overcome, more than 1.4 million Lions globally say, “We Serve.” With funding and expertise from Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), Lions offer hope and positively impact lives.
